Sim Silivistris - Intake Counsellor
Hi, I'm Sim – a soon-to-be qualified Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist based in North East England. Alongside this Diploma, I am also undertaking an MSc in Psychotherapy. Previously, I taught English in a secondary school and have worked in academic settings for fifteen years. Currently, I work in a sixth-form college helping students to achieve their therapeutic goals, and understand how a person's mental health can be adversely impacted by the pressure and workload of their studies and exams.

I am a fully qualified UK trained counsellor, psychotherapist and clinical supervisor.
My core philosophy is Humanistic and my initial training as a counsellor is the Person-Centred approach however, I do work in a relational integrative approach.
Contacting a therapist might seem daunting at first, but I aim to help you make sense of difficult thoughts and feelings in a sensitive and non-judgmental way. Talking about your problems in confidence can feel relief and help you feel less alone and overwhelmed.
